AllBreed Solutions ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates AvianDB (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: your email address, and name if you provide one, when you register.
  • Bird records: the databases and bird records you create — species, sex, status, hatch dates, band numbers, notes, and similar details you choose to enter.
  • Settings: preferences such as your time zone.
  • Support requests: the name, email, and description you submit through "Report an Issue."

Information collected automatically:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you use the Service.
  • Cookies: session cookies required for authentication and core site functionality.

Information from third parties:

  • If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google as part of the OAuth flow, and store access tokens (encrypted) needed to authenticate you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Store and display your private bird databases and records back to you.
  • Send transactional email (such as account confirmation and password resets).
  • Respond to support requests you submit.
  • Enforce our Terms of Use and protect the Service.
  • Monitor and improve the Service.

Your bird records are private to your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make your records public or share them with other users.

4. How We Share Your Information

Service providers: We share information with trusted third parties only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Google Cloud Platform — hosting, database, and file storage.
  • SendGrid — delivery of transactional email on our behalf.
  • Google — OAuth authentication if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • AllBreed ticketing service — when you submit "Report an Issue," the name, email, and description you enter are sent to our ticketing system so we can respond.

These providers are permitted to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of AllBreed Solutions or others.

5. Payments

AvianDB is currently offered free of charge and does not process payments. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will update this policy to describe how payment information is handled.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and records for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of sensitive credentials such as OAuth tokens. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

8. Your Choices

  • Account information: You can update your account details and time zone from your account settings.
  • Account deletion: To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at admin@allbreed.solutions.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
